Currency Market Status: Please read our response

Detailed Description:

Currently, the currency situation is a bit of a mess. Some things say SC$ is the currency while others say $E or E$ is the currency. My solution is that players should be able to choose what currency group they want to be in. For example: There could be a group of people trading in White Dollars, Blue Dollars, Green Dollars. These would all have their own exchange rates. In this way, we can create currency market as exists in the real world, with countries holding cash reserves of foreign currency that they buy and sell in order to gain money. Of course, as in the real world, everything would be based on a standard currency like a "Universal Dollar." All goods put on the market would be listed in Universal dollars and the purchaser would purchase the goods in their selected currency at their currencies current exchange rate with the "Universal Dollar." Currency rates would change based on the strength of the economies that use that currency and the liquidity in the currency market. The central bank that controls a certain currency will have to maintain the value of the currency while keep its value low enough to make goods produced in that country attractive. Therefore, along with common markets and federation, you can have a currency market of countries that use your same currency and where you can help make decisions about the future of your currency. Maybe their could be a feature where people vote on the look of the currency, whether to re-value it, etc. Vote Yes If you like this currency change which will make the game more realistic and dynamic. (i.e. not only supply and demand of goods will influence their costs.) Vote no if you like this confusing currency situation where the game has not exactly set the worlds currency and want to miss out of the money making opportunity of a currency market.

W3Creative reaction:

The currency issue in the game has a lot of potential. It is currently rather simple. As a first step, we intend to introduce a currency market where players can by and sell the various currencies and exchange for gold coins etc.

Introducing a currency per country, or a group of countries, is an old wish that will require some development. Setting an exchange rate can change the value of country and enterprise assets and must be left to the open market in a way that does not allow any manipulation.
