Budget and Spending Control Status: Please read our response

Detailed Description:

Would like the option to set the national, or even imperial budget for each different department, as well as break it down further. An example is set an amount for the education budget then from that set specific amounts for salaries, building elementary schools, then high schools etc.
Including options to allow expenditure to surpass the budgeted amounts and an option to keep expenditure as it is.

very few votes for a very elaborate feature.
In fact we had this feature before and much of the text remained in our source code. The budget feature is very confusing. You may have the money in your country to purchase what you need but the budget will not allow you to do it.

We agree that a proper finance system should go by the budget but it is simply too complex. Many players find the finance system in Simcountry complex as it is let alone, that they will have to setup a budget and will find out that they cannot purchase what they need.

We could set it up as an option, but we think there are few potential users and there are major functions that we have promised to implement and are not getting there yet because of the amount of work needed.
