There are two salary indexes in each country. One is the average of all salary levels in corporations and the other is the salary level for government workers.
Each salary index is relating to the standard salaries at 100. If the salary index is at 150, it means that salaries are 50% higher than the base level.
The Industry salary level is essential for the production level in corporations, their welfare index and their profitability.
The government salary index can be set by the president but cannot differ too much from the industrial salary index and will be corrected automatically if the difference becomes too large. The government salary index is used as one of the requirements when moving up the game levels.
The indexes page is improved today, to include the exact names of the salary indexes that previously created some confusion. It is also showing the correct level of the government salary index and the required level for the following game level.
